Why a printed bag does more than just packaging
A stroopwafel often passes from hand to hand. Someone buys one at the market, walks through town with it, and the bag goes along. That makes the bag one of the few things your customer actually takes with them. If your name's on it, it travels too. That's exactly why bakers, market stalls and coffee shops have their bags printed: it costs little extra, but it keeps working long after the wafer itself is gone.

Voor stroopwafels werken twee maten het best. 13×13 cm past strak om één standaard stroopwafel. Het zakje sluit netjes en er blijft weinig lucht over, wat prettig is als je ze in een display legt. 14×14 cm geeft wat meer ruimte. Handig bij een dikkere wafel, bij twee wafels op elkaar, of als je het zakje wilt omvouwen en dichtplakken met een sticker. Twijfel je? Neem 14×14. Grease-proof paper, because syrup finds its way through
A fresh stroopwafel gives off syrup. On ordinary paper you'll see dark stains coming through within the hour, right over your print. Our bags are made from grease-proof paper: the syrup doesn't soak through, so your design stays crisp — even after the bag's been sitting on a shelf for a while.

Je krijgt daarna een gratis digitale drukproef — een afbeelding van hoe het zakje eruit komt te zien, inclusief de randen waar niets mag staan. Pas als jij die goedkeurt gaat het naar de pers. Zo weet je precies wat je krijgt, en kun je een fout eruit halen voordat er duizend zakjes bedrukt zijn. Heb je nog geen ontwerp? Ook dat kunnen we voor je verzorgen.

We drukken in eigen huis. Dat scheelt een schakel: geen tussenpartij die zijn eigen levertijd erbovenop doet, en geen wachten tot een leverancier ergens tijd heeft. Daardoor gaat het snel. Vanaf 3 productiedagen ligt je bestelling klaar, gerekend vanaf het moment dat je de drukproef goedkeurt. En we drukken vanaf kleine aantallen. Je hoeft dus niet met duizenden te beginnen om een fatsoenlijke prijs te krijgen. Wil je eerst kijken hoe het bevalt, bestel dan een kleine oplage en schaal later op — de staffel zie je direct bij het bestellen, dus je kunt zelf zien waar het omslagpunt ligt.

How to design for a small square bag
Op 13×13 of 14×14 cm is elke vierkante centimeter er een. Wat werkt:
- Eén element, groot. Een logo dat het zakje vult leest van een meter afstand; drie kleine elementen leest niemand.
- Houd een halve centimeter rand vrij. De naad en de sluiting lopen daar, en wat daarop valt, verdwijnt.
- Denk aan de achterkant. Die kost niets extra bij full colour en is de plek voor je website, je adres of een korte tekst.
- Kleur boven detail. Een vlak in je huisstijlkleur valt op de toonbank meer op dan een fijn uitgewerkte illustratie.

Outside that area, we ship throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.

How quickly will I have my order?
Vanaf 3 productiedagen nadat je de drukproef hebt goedgekeurd. We drukken in eigen huis, dus er zit geen tussenpartij tussen die er nog eens een week bij optelt. Heb je haast? Laat het weten, dan kijken we wat er mogelijk is.
Do you print in-house or outsource it?
We print in-house, in our own production facility. That's why we can deliver quickly and why we can also handle small runs — we don't have to wait for a supplier to find room in their schedule.
What size stroopwafel bag do I need?
For one standard stroopwafel, 13×13 cm is plenty. Choose 14×14 cm if your wafers are a bit thicker, if you want to fit two in, or if you want to fold the bag over and seal it with a sticker. If in doubt, 14×14 is the safest choice.
Can I get a size other than 13×13 or 14×14?
Yes, we supply other sizes on request. Get in touch with what you need, and we'll see what's possible and what it costs.
Won't the syrup leave stains on the bag?
No. We print on grease-proof paper, specifically made for products that release oils or syrup. The syrup doesn't soak through, so your print stays sharp — even if the bag sits on a shelf for a while.
Can I order small quantities?
Yes. We print from small runs, so you don't have to start with thousands of bags. Order more, and the unit price drops — you'll see that straight away in the quantity tiers when ordering.
How will I know what my bag will look like?
You'll receive a free digital proof beforehand. It shows exactly how your design will appear on the bag, including the margins where nothing should be placed. Only once you approve it does it go to print.
I don't have a design yet. Can you make one for me?
Yes. Supply whatever you have — a logo, an idea, a photo of your current packaging — and we'll turn it into a design that fits the size you choose.
Does anything other than a stroopwafel fit in it too?
Certainly. The same bags are used for biscuits, speculaas, small chocolates and mini pastries. The size is based on a standard stroopwafel, so anything roughly that size will fit.
Can I have the back printed as well?
Yes. With full colour, double-sided printing adds nothing extra to the set-up cost, and it's the obvious place for your website, address or opening hours. Just let us know in your order that you want to use both sides.
Won't the syrup stick to the bag?
The paper is grease-proof and prevents the syrup from soaking through. What can happen with a fresh, still-warm wafer is that a bit of syrup remains on the inside — that's normal and doesn't show through to the printed outside.
